Executive Team
The Montcalm Technical Services multidisciplinary team is made up of specialists in all key management areas, notably in administration, finance, management of human resources, health and welfare, organization and methods as well as specialized work.
Our staff are well supervised and trained. We can count on a dynamic team of building engineers, construction project managers, building mechanic technicians, instrument control technicians, stationary machinery mechanics, plumbers, refrigeration technicians, electricians and architectural maintenance technicians.
Claude Bigras
Chief Executive Officer, GDI
Claude Bigras has worked in the construction, janitorial service and facility maintenance industry since 1982. In 1994 he joined Distinction, and then in 1998 became a shareholder. With increasingly senior roles, Claude became President of Distinction in December 2004 when he became the majority shareholder. This period was marked with significant organic growth, leading Distinction to become the largest janitorial and facility services contractor throughout Quebec.
Today, with his key role of CEO within GDI, Claude offers both perspective and experience in growth and development of the group of companies as well as key financial and strategic insight. In addition, Claude brings an exceptional track record of successful acquisitions and integration; with a keen understanding and insight into the business and related segments. This insight and perspective has been integral in developing GDI. Outside of GDI, Claude remains active as a member of numerous industry associations and charitable organizations. Claude completed Certificates in Finance and Management at HEC Montreal
Réal Paré
Vice President, GDI
President, Distinction Maintenance Services, Montcalm Technical Services, Distinction Plus Quebec
Mr. Paré has more than 30 years of experience in the janitorial industry. He was also President of the Quebec Building Service Contractors Association from 1989 to 2003 and has been acting as Vice President of the Parity Committee for the Building Services for the Montreal region since 1989. Mr. Pare completed a Certificate in Administration from the Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres and was previously the President of Montcalm Technical Services.
Sylvain Pilon, eng.

Mr Sylvain Pilon is the Vice President and General Manager of Montcalm Technical Services , a GDI company. Sylvain's experience and perspective he brings to our technical group is a welcome addition and offers unique capability and competency. Specialized in the building sector for the past 20 years, Mr Pilon is a professional engineer, member of Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), Building Owner & Manager Association (BOMA), Urban Development Institute of Quebec (UDI) and member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He is member of the board of directors of Association Québécoise pour la maîtrise de l'énergie (AQME) and president of Building, Energy and Environment committee at BOMA. From 1990 to 2009, Mr Pilon held a variety of technical and direction roles with different organizations.
